Out in the Rain

Thunder discouraging a woodsy trail
Through the middle portal of a September meadow
Receiving raindrops and more visual stimulation
Than I can absorb.
Glistening spider webs in the red orange yellow grasses
Sunflowers, goldenrod, bee balm, queen anne’s lace, New England asters,
Bees brave the rain.
I am definitely not alone in this wider we.
So much more going on in the world than we know.
I am happy to be out in the rain.
